The Scissor Dilemma -- Ironic

Schools Coming, and well, we bought school supplies
Ironic that you need scissors to cut your new scissors out from their packaging! What if you bought the new scissors due to the fact that you had no scissors. Perhaps your old scissors had just broke, or had been borrowed by a friend, never to return, or are just not back yet. What if you desperately needed scissors, but you had no scissors in which to cut open the packaging of your new scissors.

Use a knife I suppose....

Oh its my Bro's Birthday
Yeah, they are turning 9, scary, but they went through kindergarden twice, so they are only going into grade 3, thankfully :) Wish them a Happy B-day. They are excited to eat their birthday dinner, and they received a PS3, earlier of course, the funny thing is, they payed for most of the PS3. Mom and Dad lucked out on that one!

Fallen - The Angel Exploration

About the Shoot, the Idea
Okay, so I seem to be on a trend of Death, and sadness right now. Its a series, I guess you could say. So this shot I really liked, I wrapped my one brother in a white table cloth and told him to lay limp on this random cement step, which by the way was not attached to a house, but rather in the middle of a field. If you look closely you can see that he looks like he is trying to keep from smiling, thats because he was smiling, and I was telling him to look dead ( yes, I am the best sister, in there eyes .) So this is a fallen angel, it has plummeted to earth, and has died in the fumes of our deception, and hatred. This angel just wasn't old enough to be able to live in our imperfection.

She's Missed -- Second of the Proj.

The shot: A little about the Idea
There was a little less thought process put into this shot from its former She's Done. As you may recall, in She's Done, no one seems to care about the fact that the woman is dead, there is no funeral, and she is left where she was found. In this one, the woman who has died has a family mentioned, and a funeral has just ended. She was hiding before she died, but how come she hid as soon as she heard a single sound. Was there something that had her on edge, did she know some one was coming. and why was she left on a post, sprawled outside, when most likely, she was murdered inside. She was missed is underlined in the description on flickr. She was missed by her family, but perhaps I mean something more, something a bit more profound in saying that.

The Area: Farmers field, or fence.
Okay, its safe to assume the woman was a farm girl, or maybe not. The Farmers field where I shot this has the look of abandonment, but it is not entirely. There is a family living on it, but they have not put much thought into keeping it up. There is a certain spookiness to the feeling in the less unkept areas, and a bit of, wonder what this was for, going on in your head. And yet again, why out in the open, on a fence. But notice, it appears abandoned.

Thanks to my Helpers: Owen and Connor

My brothers where a huge help today, they worked really hard, and were patient, even though they now think I am odder than ever.

They walked around carrying a chair and a blanket, and of course, posed a bit for me at times, Got some great shots though :D

Lighter Still......

A Bit About Part 2 of She's Done.
Okay, so as you can see, the shirt that I am wearing blends amazingly well into the foliage surrounding me in this photo. This is on purpose. Well she is an easier target, as she blends in, but at the same time, in the forest she is harder to find, perhaps she was being chased, or maybe, she was the chaser. Sometimes, the prey are smarter.

Keep the Questions coming
Okay, so as you can tell I am raising questions on what appears a murder, if you guys have any questions that you think should be raised on her death, then please post them here or on flickr, thanks so much for your wonderfull comments and such!!

She's Done - The Beginning of a project.

The Area: Lovers Lane
Okay so toady I did She's Done. I went down to lovers lane, which is a now forested, old road, it was never paved, so slowly it has turned into well, what looks like a bike and walking path. If you walk all the way from one end to the other, you soon find that it re-connects to a paved road, one leading out of Didsbury, It makes you wonder why it was closed off, when it could have come in handy.

The Idea: My new challenge,Simple Deaths -- To Simple
Okay, so my new project, or "self challenge" if you will is to do a series on simple deaths, a bit to simple if you ask me. Lovers lane, aside from the name, was a perfect spot for my first photo. Ideally it is abandoned, although it is still used for walking, it used to be a well used road, that never was paved of course. But As stated earlier, why was it abandoned, it could have been very vital, making navigating around Didsbury much easier, but instead it was closed, later becoming Lovers Lane, a simple getaway from life in a small town, where everyone, knows everybody. So there it created a history, a what if, and a perhaps for my photo. Obviously, the death happened after the road was abandoned, some one will find her, as it is used for walks, but whom will find her, and what will they think. As I stated, she was found, and stated Done, and left to decay. She was Done.... A simple death, with a history, and what if and a perhaps. to simple.

Things that Happened: Haha
Well, as you well know, lots of people from around Didsbury use Lovers lane to take the husbands, or dogs on walks :) Well, I had to change my clothes a bit, till I found what I liked, comparing with my surroundings, so I was literally stripping in this path luckily surrounded by trees, so I was a bit nervous while that happened. One lady happened to be walking her dog, she decided against heading through Lovers Lane when she saw me... oh well, wasn't my decision. Then I was laying on the ground, partially worried about bugs getting tangled in my hair, and otherwise worried about looking dead or injured. This rather cut guy, happened to be coming up behind me, and I didn't notice until I jumped back up off the ground and dusted of dirt. That was a but embarrassing :) The funny thing though, he kept on coming back, well, kept passing the entrance of lovers lane, it was a bit odd :D But all in all a good shoot :D

Okay I am stepping lightly around the Idea with my parents about getting a pro account, moms good, but dad I am not so sure, so we will see :) Cross your fingers!!

Saturday, August 22, 2009

Off I go. I wont be around on Flickr or my Blog for a bit, at least I can't make any promises. I will be working on photos, and have stuff to do. I still have not stained the fence :) so hold to your birches(said to self)

Okay, frustration, I mean, whats with life. Its to busy Aack.(in case you care, Aack is one of my many odd disgusted sounds :o3 )

So I am working on a shoot about movement, or so I hope it will portray that. I am not sure when I will have what I want, I have to bike everywhere, so bear with me while I bike around to find the perfect spot, do some trial shoots, and wait for either my dad to let me get a pro Flickr account, or for next month, because I uploaded this months amount of photos. Oh well, patients is a virtue right.

So yeah, sorry you will not be reciving any photos from me fellow Flickrer's :)

Well now that I have several obviously free weeks still till school starts, I am going to work to find the perfect spot, get the perfect pics, and then share them with you :)
